V-Formation Productions acknowledges the generous support of Frank Hocevar for sponsoring the purchase of 20 tickets for students, educators, seniors and Stouffville residents to attend the screening of Turning Pages: The Life and Literature of Margaret Atwood on April 7, 2010 at 7 p.m.

The theatrical screening premiere will take place at The Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment, 19 On The Park at 19 Civic Ave. in Stouffville near the Stouffville GO Transit Station.

Whitchurch-Stouffville turns the page on Margaret Atwood

The Whitchurch-Stouffville Library and the Lebovic Centre for Arts and Entertainment present, “Turning Pages: The Life and Literature of Margaret Atwood”. The theatrical premiere of the film takes place at 7 p.m. on April 7th, 2010 at the newly renovated Nineteen On The Park Theatre in Stouffville’s downtown centre.

Produced and directed by Stouffville resident, Joel Gordon, Turning Pages is the first biographical documentary film to feature the life of Canada’s iconic scribe, Margaret Atwood.

Rastafari Then and Now: A message from Jamaica (2008)

Nation Cheong, a Rastafarian community youth worker and African drummer is concerned about youth violence and wonders if the principles and values of Rastafari has something to benefit today’s youth. To find an answer to his question, he gathers a group of Black youth and takes them on a journey of discovery into Toronto’s Rastafarian community. Along the way, he re-connects with some of his elders and also discovers that he has a few unanswered questions about his walk with Rastafari. This leads him to travel to Jamaica, the birthplace of Rastafari, for the very first time. What will he discover there?
